Tuna and White Bean Salad Recipe
Ingredients:

2 cans (5 oz each) tuna fillets in olive oil, drained
2 cans (15 oz each) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1 red onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Cherry tomatoes, for garnish (optional)
Mixed salad greens, for serving (optional)
Instructions:

Prepare the Tuna: In a large mixing bowl, flake the tuna fillets using a fork.

Combine with Beans and Herbs: Add the drained and rinsed cannellini beans, finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and chopped fresh basil leaves to the bowl with the tuna. Gently toss to combine.

Add Lemon Zest and Juice: Zest the lemon directly into the bowl and then squeeze the juice over the salad.

Drizzle with Olive Oil: Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil over the salad and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Toss everything together to coat the ingredients evenly.

Optional: Serve on Salad Greens: If desired, serve the tuna and white bean salad on a bed of mixed salad greens or alongside cherry tomatoes for extra freshness and presentation.

Serve: Plate the salad and garnish with extra herbs or lemon zest if desired.
