Balsamic Glaze Recipe

4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
8 oz (225g) fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
Fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Assemble the Salad: On a serving platter, alternate slices of ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices.

Drizzle with Olive Oil: Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil over the tomato and mozzarella slices. Use a good quality olive oil for the best flavor.

Season with Salt and Pepper: Season the salad with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Keep in mind that mozzarella can be slightly salty, so adjust the seasoning accordingly.

Balsamic Glaze: Drizzle balsamic glaze generously over the salad. You can use store-bought balsamic glaze or make your own by reducing balsamic vinegar in a saucepan until it thickens and becomes syrupy.

Garnish: Garnish the Caprese Salad with a few more fresh basil leaves for extra freshness and flavor.

Serve: Serve the salad immediately as an appetizer or side dish.
